Carter Jackson Racks

Carter Jackson Racks, 87, a native of Franklin, La., died Thursday, March 22, 2012.

Mr. Racks was employed at Kuhlman and Becnel Hardware for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy receiving an honorable discharge in 1945. He was a member of the American Legion in Franklin and a deacon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In the mid-1960s, he opened a plumbing business in Franklin that he operated for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Alva Mae Sam, Deloris (Charles) Owens and Joyce Steverson; and 11 grandchildren. (Jones)
