Catherine “Cat” Jacobs, 61, a native of Plattenville, La., and a resident of Donaldsonville, La., died at Prevost Memorial Hospital in Donaldsonville, Friday, November 14.
She is survived by her mother, Ora Southall of Donaldsonville; one daughter and spouse, Lafrance “Maria” and Aaron Chandler of Virginia Beach, Va.; one son and spouse, Tony and Monica Jacobs of Marrero, La.; three sisters and spouses, Irene Sharett of Donaldsonville, Carolyn Cahn of Gonzales, La., and Florida and Robert Washington of Huntsville, Al.; one brother, Samuel Thompson of Danville, Va.; two grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
She was a homemaker.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 20, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Donaldsonville and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, November 21, at Virginia Baptist Church in Ewellville, La. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
