Catherine Knight Theriot, 79, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 11:58 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Ecton J. Theriot Sr.; son, Ecton J. Theriot Jr. and wife Sheryl; daughters, Elainna Whitlock and husband Jesse, and Jaynel Pierce and husband Freddie Jr.; brothers, Philip, Armond and Adam Jr. Knight; sisters, Rose Alford and Willa Mae Falgout; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam Sr. and Alexandrine Thibodaux Knight; brother, Simon Knight; and sisters, Rita Laborde, Doris Zeller and Peggy Knight.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Holy Savior Church in Lockport. She will be buried at Holy Savior Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
