Feinberg promises improvement for claimants

Cathleen “Kate” Eymard Ledet, died at 12:23 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011.
Mrs. Ledet was president of Bob’s Seafood Inc. She ran Grom’s snowball stand in Galliano for many years. She was scorebook keeper for Galliano Jr. High School, Golden Meadow Jr. High School and South Lafourche Lady Tarpons for many years. She was an avid sports fan and loved following the Lady Tiger’s Basketball team. She enjoyed plays at Le Petit Theater in Houma, The Thibodaux Playhouse and Broadway Across America at The Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans. She was a charter member of the Krewe of Nerieds. She loved spending time with her family and friends and had become a cooking show expert. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Ledet; daughters, Paige (Paul) Picou, Joan (Dimo) Chouest, Aledia (Magdaleno) Deleon; son, Hoyt (Bridget Callais) Ledet; six grandchildren, Hunter Ledet, Alex, Allie and Max Chouest, Ana Doucet and Briana Deleon; brothers, Hilton, Junius, Norris, Jervis, Robert “Bobby” and Aubrey Eymard; sisters, Janis Bland and Gail Gisclair; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emar and Nativita “Grom” Eymard; two brothers, Collin and Roger Eymard; two sisters, Bernice Eymard and Irene Lefort; and mother- and father-in-law, Gustave and Lelia Ledet.

She is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
