Cathy Ann Melancon, 52, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 2:34 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Hebert; mother and step-father, Belle and Martin Crabtree; one son, Joshua John Hebert and companion Aurora; one daughter, Darcas Hebert Plaisance and husband Carlos Plaisance; one sister, Donna Duet and husband Mark; one brother, Toby Melancon; five grandchildren, Austin, Hailey, Hayden, Dwayne and Damon; two godchildren, Kayla Duet and Robbie Lasseigne; one niece, Shae Melancon; and best friend, Monigue Breaux.
She was preceded in death by her father, Theogene “T.J.” Melancon Jr.; and grandparents, Nora and John Aneslmi, and Marguerite and Theogene Melancon.
She was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
