Charles Anthony Lawnicki, 68, a native of Chicago, Ill., and resident of Patterson, La., died Monday, May 13, 2013.
Mr. Lawnicki was a member of Word of Life Family Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a chef for Survey Boats and Cypress Bayou Casino for many years and also worked for Inter Parish Security at Patterson Truck Stop.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Lawnicki; children, Paul Lawnicki and Pamela (Rupert) Green; step-children, Janet Donnell, Kathy Slates, Leon, Mark and Richard Strand, Jolene Frost and Harry Jr., Eric and Thad Boudreaux; brothers, James (Arlene) and Louis (Lucy) Lawnicki; sisters, Carol (Charles) Urgo and Christine Lawnicki; and several grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Casimir Lawnicki and Catherine Kempczynski; first wife, Gloria Vickers; and second wife, Marilyn Bell.
Burial is at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
