Charles R. “Chuck” Canter, a native of Houma, La., died at 11:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, 2006.
Memorial services will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. The family is asking if anyone has photos they would like to share to bring it to this service.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Leslie) Breaux Jr.; two step-children, Stacey William McCarty and Richard “Dicky” Williams Jr., two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Toups and Mrs. Alfred (Sandra) Scott; three brothers, Dennis M. Canter, John A. Canter and Timothy P. Canter; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Fred Canter and Doris Guidroz Dugas; two brothers, Ray and Roy Canter; his paternal grandparents, John and Viola Duhon Canter; and his maternal grandparents, Arthur and Noella Autin Guidroz.
