Charles Caver, Sr., 69, a 48 year resident of Newburgh, N.Y. and native of Birmingham, AL., died December 30, 2006.

Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2007 at Community Funeral Home. A mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Morning Star Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Combon Cemetery in Dulac, LA.


He is survived by his Wife, Shriley Bolden Carver; his son, Aaron Caver of Hollywood, CA.; his daughters, Charlene Caver of Washington, D.C., Christine Westley and husband, Thomas of Kileen, TX., and Sharon Hutchins of Waldorf, MD.; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Maude Caver; his son, Charles Caver, Jr.; 3 Brothers, Howard Caver, Jerome Caver and William Caver, and one sister, Juanita Gilmore.

He was a graduate of Wenonah High School in Birmingham, AL. and he was a Facilities Engineer (Craftsman) for the United States Military Academy at West Point. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
