Charles “Puggy” White, Sr., 57, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Terrebonne Parish, died Friday, March 7.


He is survived by his wife, Pansy White; sons, Christopher & Derrick White; daughter, Charlene Williams; brothers, James White, Joseph (Katherne) White, Napoleon (Roberta) White and Roland White; sisters, Bernadine White Miles (Lee Miles, Jr.), Sadie White Dennis (James Dennis, Sr.), Betty Ray White and Mary Ann Williams (Stanley Williams); and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph “Buddy” White and Albertha Prevost White; son, Charles White, Jr.; sister, Gwendolyn White; and grandparents, Charlie White & Mary Porche White and Levi & Sadie Prevost.


He was a Army Veteran and a member of New Zion Baptist Church. He was member of the Sheriff Horse Possey and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising dogs and riding horses.

He was a Pump Technician for Kelly Completions.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Community Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at New Zion Baptist Church. He will be buried at the church cemetery.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
