Charlie “BlackBoy” Carter, 64, a native of McComb, Miss., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009.


He is survived by his wife, Tammy Carter; sons, Casey Carter, Nicholas Sanchez Williams, Charles Carter, Bryan Allen and Vance (Theresa), Charles (Jenice), Carlus, Charles (Elicia) Carter and Jodie Robertson; daughters, Caitlin and Caralina Carter and Tiffany, Viola and Tracie Williams, Keycia (Bill) Pauley, Daphanee (Daryl) Harper, Kathy (James) Williams, Janice (Paul) Harris, Belinda James and Bonita Welch; brothers, Willie, John (Rosylin) and Carlus (Carolyn) Carter; sisters, May (Jerry) Allen, Mary Allen, Fay and Carrie Carter and Donice Hutchenson; 43 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Willester Imes Carter; brothers, James and Jerrel Carter; and grandparents, Buddy Lee Carter and Martina Ross Carter.

Mr. Carter was Baptist and a member of Restoration of Hope Ministries.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to funeral time, at Restoration of Hope Ministries. His funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.

He will be buried in Southdown Cemetery.
