Clara Arabie Hoskins, 64, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, August 6, at 9:40 a.m.


She is survived by her husband, William Hoskins; five sons, Rodney, Johnny, Jimmy, Jessie and Jason Arabie; two daughters, Debra Arabie and Dolly Folse; one brother, Louis Arceneaux Jr.; three sisters, Cora Peters, Darleen Foret and Sandra Boudreaux; 22 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton Arabie Jr.; parents, Louis Arceneaux Sr. and Earline Blanchard Arceneaux; one son, Desiree Cheramie; three brothers, Tex, David and Randy Arceneaux; and one sister, Sarah Melancon.

She was a member of the Holy Rosary Adoration Club.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, August 9, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, August 10, at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland with burial at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
