Mr. Clarence Bolden, 93, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2006 at Community Funeral Home and 11 a.m. to funeral time Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church with burial in the Combon Cemetery.


He is survived by two daughters, Beulah Gaither of Houma and Shirley Caver and husband, Charles of Newburgh, New York; 18 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his wife, Hertha M. Bolden; his parents, Wilis and Alberda Bolden; three daughters, Betty Ann Bolden, Alberda Verdin, and Hannah Coleman; two brothers, Pete and Johnny Bolden, and one sister, Pearl Bolden.

He was a baptist and member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

He enjoyed trapping and hunting.

He was retired from Authement Packing Company

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
