Clarence “De” Sherman Jr., 60, a native of Belle Rose, La., and a resident of Plattenville, La., died at his sister’s home in Donaldsonville, La., Sunday, November 3.

He is survived by two daughters and spouses, Zebrita and Dwayne Williams of Plattenville and Shenita and Clinton Williams of Belle Rose; two sons, Dontrel and Trellis Lewis of Donaldsonville; one stepdaughter, Latoya Lewis; two sisters and spouses, Brenda and Edward McKinney and Augustine and Burel Caines; three stepsisters and spouses, Genera Hayes, Gloria Smith and Joyce and Michael Smith; four stepbrothers and spouses, Wilbert and Caroline Hayes, Roylee and Annrita Hayes, Steve and JoMary Hayes and Curtis Hayes; and numerous relatives.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Sherman; one son, Clarence Sherman III; his parents, Orelia Atkins and Clarence Sherman Sr.; and one brother, Eugene Sherman.

He was buried at First Israel Baptist Church Cemetery in Belle Rose.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
