Clarence “Gotti”Anthony Wagner, 37, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, July 31, at 10 p.m.

He is survived by his mother, Janet Lois Wagner of Thibodaux; one son, Justin Duplechain of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Joyce Gage of Baton Rouge, La.; four brothers, Jarvis Wagner of Thibodaux, and Clarence Nelson, Rynell Nelson and Joshua Nelson of Opelousas, La.; 14 sisters, Jennifer Wagner, Collette Hamilton, Deneisha Hamilton, Anjannette Johnson, Shanika Nelson, Alicia Smith and Lisa Richard Pierre, all of Thibodaux, Laquisha Nelson, Shelly Nelson, Crystal Nelson, Nikki Nelson, Anchernet Nelson, Kenna Nelson and Rhonda Davis, all of Opelousas; and grandparents, Lisker Wagner and Ora Hamilton of Thibodaux.


He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Hamilton Jr.; and grandparents, Isaiah Wagner and Clarence Hamilton Sr.

He was Baptist. He enjoyed telling jokes, drawing, writing music and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, August 7, at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Moses Baptist Church Cemetery # 2 in Thibodaux.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
