Clarence Promise Holmes Sr., 75, a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011.
Mr. Holmes was a member of New Rising Sun Baptist Church and self-employed by Houma Mattress and Upholstery.
He is survived by his son, Oliver Holmes; daughters, Lana and Lisa Holmes and Daphine (Gregory) Ellis; brother, David Holmes; sisters, Marion Jones and Sarah and Betty Holmes; and 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Burial was at New Rising Sun Baptist Church Cemetery. (Community)
