Clayton Pete Doiron, 73, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, June 13, at 11 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Joyce Domangue Doiron of Houma; sons, Peter Doiron and special friend Gabriel Wiggins of Dallas, Texas, and Paul Doiron and wife Jackie of Houma; daughters, Lisa Quatrevingt and husband Alfred of Houma, and Gina Lirette and husband William of Houma; brothers, Gerald Doiron, Gene Doiron and Gregory Doiron, all of Houma; sisters, Barbara Greneaux of Carencro, La., Faye Bourgeois and Linda Hebert, both of Houma; grandchildren, Alycia Quatrevingt, Ryan Lirette, Stephen Doiron and Kristen Doiron; great-grandchild, Lyric Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Marguerite Bethancourt Doiron; brother, Michael Doiron; and granddaughter, Abby Lirette.

He was retired from the oilfield industry where he owned several oilfield corporations including Oilfield Business Incorporated and Southern Tools and Hydraulics. He most recently worked as a consultant in the oilfield. He was also a U.S. Army veteran and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing and telling jokes.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
