Clinton “C.G.” Keplinger Jr., 63, a native of Gentilly, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, June 19.


He is survived by his wife, Jean Ellen Stuzman Keplinger of Houma; his mother, Evelyn Ledet Keplinger Belanger of Houma; sons, Clinton “Kep” Keplinger III and significant other, Danielle Aucoin, Yancy Keplinger and wife, Christine, and Eric Keplinger and wife, Becky, of Houma; sister, Melissa Belanger of Houma; and grandchildren, Clinton “T.C.” Keplinger IV, Sonny Keplinger, Cade Keplinger, Cody Keplinger, Taylor Keplinger, Makenna Keplinger, Jaze, Tyler and Macie.


He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton George Keplinger Sr.; his grandparents Marie and Leonce Ledet; his stepfather, Leland Belanger; and sister, Connie Grezaffi.

He was a welder and former member of the U.S. National Guard. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Bayou Black.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society for Lung Research.

He was buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1.
