Cloris Florent-Verdin, 58, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Herman Verdin Sr.; sons, Kevin and Herman Jr. Verdin; brothers, Larry (Janice), Alan (Sharon) and Demitri (Rosalyn) Florent; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Leola Florent; brothers, William, Carl and Randy Florent; and grandparents, Collin and Claudia Florent, Matthew and Clotile Collins and Julia Gray.
Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at New Rising Sun Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Halfway Cemetery. (Jones)
