Colleen Vibbert Barnett, 66, a native of Morgan City, Ala., and resident of Houma, La., died at 8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2007.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.


She is survived by her husband, James Bennett Barnett of Houma; one son, James Clifton Barnett of Houma; three daughters, Helen Marie Daigle and husband, Danny, of Houma, Wanda Jane Fanning and Bobbie Jean Jones of Harrisburg, Ill.; two brothers, William Frank Vibbert of Brandon, Fla., and Jesse James Vibbert of Riverview, Fla.; one sister, Bernice P. Rush of Huntsville, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clint Vibbert and Daisy Bell Hall Vibbert; one grandson, J.J. Barnett; and three sisters, Ruby Jean Vibbert, Flora Jane Vibbert and Nora Lee Vibbert.

She was a homemaker and a member of Living Word Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
