Corial Peter Folse Sr., 77, a native and resident of St. Charles Community, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012.
Mr. Folse was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked at Avondale, Thibodaux Boiler Works, St. Charles Steel Works and was a self-employed carpenter. He loved woodworking, furniture restoration, chair caning and built his own boats and the house that he was so proud of.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Folse; son, Corial Jr. (Trudy) Folse; daughters, Carleen (Todd) Braud, Joy (Larry Sr.) Derouen and Theresa (Michael Sr.) Pontiff; brother, Alvin Folse; sisters, Juanita Nix and Cathy Sampey; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Leah Folse; sister, Theresa Folse; and granddaughter, Hailey Folse.
Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
