Corinne Wallace Routier, 98, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Houma, La., joined her Lord in Heaven at 6:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 8.


She is survived by one son, Louis E. Routier Jr. of Houma; five daughters, Joyce R. McNeely of Houston, Tx., Barbara Lee Lapeyre of San Benito, Tx., Corinne R. Comeaux of New Orleans, La., Carolyn R. Pritchard of Dallas, Tx., and Annette R. Charpentier of Houma; one sister, Mildred Henderson of Houma; 28 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Routier Sr.; her parents, Emile Wallace and Emma Lirette Wallace; two grandsons, John Comeaux and Harold Lapeyre; two great-grandsons, Joey Fisher and Benton Routier; three sons-in-law, Louis Lapeyre Sr., Branch McNeely Jr. and Buddy Comeaux; five brothers, Everett, Emile, Cody, Albert and Ernest Wallace; and five sisters, Verna Schwinn, Irene Porche, Gladys Bergeron, Anne Pitre and Ezelle Dillard.

She was a homemaker and a devoted Catholic. She loved her family and her church. She will be greatly missed. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. The family would like to thank Margaret Chatagnier, Deidre Henry, Angie Nichols and Ruby Ellender for their loving care and kindness.

She was buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
