Curtis “Curt” Slade, 47, a native of Hattiesburg, Miss., and resident of Galliano, La., died Friday, July 15, 2011.

Mr. Slade was a member of Freedom Worship Center where he enjoyed playing the bass guitar. He was an avid LSU and Saints fan was employed at Baker Hughes.


He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Slade; mother, Thelma Slade; son, Zachery Slade; daughter, Emily Slade; brothers, Charles and Craig Slade; godchild, Lainey Naquin; four nieces; two nephews; and three great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Slade.

Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Galliano. (Samart-Mothe)
