Dale James Gautreaux, 62, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, April 4.


He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hidalgo Gautreaux of Houma; son, Toby P. Gautreaux and wife Stacie of Houma; daughter, Tracy L. Price and husband Thomas of Chauvin, La.; brother, Wilton Gautreaux Jr. and wife Bonnie of Houma; sisters, Vickie Armstrong and husband Roy of Houma, and Debra Dupre and husband Alton of Bourg, La.; grandchildren, Megan Gautreaux, Tyler Gautreaux, Bryce Naquin, Shea Gautreaux, Rhett Gautreaux, James Price and Erica Price; great-grandchild, My’Khi Gautreaux; father-in-law, Joseph Hidalgo of Thibodaux; and mother Olive Falgout Gautreaux of Houma.


He was preceded in death by his father, Wilton J. Gautreaux Sr.; and mother-in-law, Hilda Hidalgo.

He was a foreman with McDermott and was a member of Lil Scooba Hunting Club. He loved fishing and hunting.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, April 6, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Chauvin Funeral Home, with Liturgy of the Word to follow Tuesday. Burial will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
