Dalton Broussard, 72, a native of Abbeville, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Friday, June 26, at 7:10 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Virgie Zeller Broussard; daughter, Connie B. Sanchez; sisters, Juanita Burns and Dianna Weinstein; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Naomi Trahan Broussard; daughter, Karen Broussard; brother, Melvin Broussard; and sisters, Dorothy Krail and Audrey Marie Broussard.
He was a welder at Avondale Shipyard.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland with a memorial service to follow.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
