Dan Evett Kirk, 75, a native of Benton, Miss., and resident of New Orleans, La., died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010.
Mr. Kirk was Baptist and a member of First Baptist Church. He was a business owner of Dan’s Auto Air and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Harvey Kirk; son, Envil Rene Lawhorn; daughters, Sylvia Kirk, Pauline (Charles) Joseph, Sonja D. Kirk and Sheryl Harvey; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fluellen and Beatrice Moore Kirk; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Ruby Kirk
He is buried at First Baptist Church Cemetery.
