June 23, 2010Daniel Davis Jr., 68, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Baton Rouge, La., died Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
Mr. Davis was Baptist and he was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Davis; son, Kaywood (Ashanta) Bryant; stepsons, Shavon and Paul Thomas; daughters, Danielle Davis and Karen (Theron) Harris; stepdaughter, Reneisha Thomas; sisters, Ruby Every, Brenda Harris and Sonia Davis and Betty (Desmond) Huggins; brothers, Howard (Audrey), Joseph (Connie) and Anthony (Carrie) Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Sr. and Dorothy Davis; daughter, Kathleen Davis; brother, Kenneth Davis; grandson, Daniel O’Bryan Davis; and grandparents, Cora Jones and Elizabeth Brown.
He is buried at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland.
