Daniel Nixon Sr., 79, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Harvey, La., died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013.
Mr. Nixon was employed with Superior Entergy. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Doretha Nixon; sons, Daniel Jr. (Cynthia), Leroy (Henrietta) and Carl (Mary) Nixon; daughters, Janice (Warren) Williams, Mary Ann, Eerica (Kevin Sr.) Stewart, LaHelen (Berwick Jr.) Phillips and Sharon (Lester Jr.) Antoine; sister, Etha Woods; 35 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Nixon; son, Jerome Nixon; daughter, Patricia Adams; sisters, Marerva Nixon, Edna Ingrams and Mary Small; and one grandchild. (Community)
