Daniel J. Percle, 69, a native of Donner, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.

Mr. Percle was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a good man and a hard worker all of his life. He was loyal to McDermott, Inc. for 40 1/2 years. From April of 2001 until his passing, he worked for Manson Gulf, LLC in Houma and was vice president of Offshore Construction. He loved his job and looked forward to working with his colleagues every day.

He loved football and stayed true to the Saints through all of their losing seasons when they were known as the “Aints.” Watching the games with his buddies in “the camp” was a ritual he looked forward to every Sunday. His all time favorite hobby was playing cards with his family and friends. He never missed the weekly card games. Family events were especially fun for him since he could show off his cooking skills. Say “mmmmm”! He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren for their accomplishments. He loved them so much and was always there when they needed him. He loved his wife dearly and loved taking her on driving vacations across the country. Their 50th wedding anniversary was about six months away.

Dan had many great friends, a loving family, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gayle Berthelot Percle; son, Brian (Jamie) Percle; daughter, Gretchen (Belinda Rodriguez) Percle; brother, David Percle; sister, Rosadel (Robert “Bobby”) Boudreaux; two grandchildren, Andrew and Jessica Percle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Duffy August and Mabel Boudreaux Percle; and three brothers, Melvin, Duffy John “D.J.” and Malcolm Percle.

He is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
