Daniel J. ” T-Dan” Rodrigue, Sr., 77, a native and resident of Chackbay, La. died Monday, November 5, 2007, at 10:20 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Una Landry Rodrigue; five sons, Daniel Rodrigue, Jr. and his wife Trudy, Peter Rodrigue and his wife Sharon, Paul Rodrigue and his wife Velma, Linus Rodrigue and his wife Tina, and Dedric Rodrigue and his wife Rhonda; three daughters, Deborah Falgoust and her husband Freddy, Violet Rome and her husband Nathan, and Edith Martin and her husband Randy; one sister, Hazel Ockman; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Edith Kraemer Rodrigue, Sr.; on son, Kevin Rodrigue; one brother, Harvey Rodrigue, Jr.; and two sisters, Dernise Peltier and Odette Schmill.
Daniel was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He was a loving husband to his wife Una for 60 years. He loved playing music, fishing, trawling, and hunting.
Visitation is Thursday, November 8, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
