Daniel Christopher Turner, 19, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at 1:31 p.m.


He is survived by his parents, Angela Turner and Issac Griffin, Jr.; his grandparents, Daniel Turner and Audrey Turner; two stepbrothers, Anthony Williams and Dominique Williams; eight uncles, Henry Griffin, Wendell Griffin, Isaac Ricks, Jesse Williams, Jr., Tyrone Turner, Sr., Kerry Sims, Cleveland Jones, and Vernell Johnson; 16 aunts, Mary Calloway, Gloria M. Williams, Lorraine W. Walker, Theresa Smith Turner, Cheryl Lewis, Lisa Griffin, Mary Griffin, Mary Louise Twiggs, JoAnn Ricks, Terri Ricks, Julia Ann Guillory, Mary Ann Sims, Lana Turner, Theresa Turner, Dorothy Jones, and Danielle Marie Turner; and his godparent, LaMeka Burtow.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lou Bertha Lovely Jackson and Isaac Griffin, Sr.; and his great-grandparents, Jesse Williams and Mary Duncan Williams.

Daniel was a devout Baptist. He was a student at Nicholls State University and loved traveling, studying and computers.

Visitation is Saturday, October 13, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church. He will be buried in Emanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation.
