Darrell James Parfait, 53, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, March 3, at 12:02 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Pitre Parfait; his parents, Varnis Joseph and Joyce Dion Parfait; sons, Hayes and wife Doris, Dyland and wife Christy, and Dusty Parfait, all of Houma; daughter, Dayna and husband Kenny Boudreaux of Houma; brother, Faron Parfait of Denham Springs, La.; sisters, Rachel Parfait of Houma and Deidra Scott of Denham Springs; grandchildren, Christian, Madison, Maddux and Hannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Annie Solet Dion; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Edna Trosclair Parfait; and brothers, Herschel and Farrell Parfait.


Pallbearers will be Hayes, Dylan, Dusty, Kenny, Jason, Faron, Chris and Linus.

He was a truck driver for American Eagle of Dallas, Tx. He was a musician who loved to play music and played with the Parfait Express. He belonged to the K.C. Hall in Dulac, La., and the Waterlife Museum in Houma.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at Falgout Funeral Home’s chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernadette Church. He will be buried at St. Francis II Cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
