Daunis Marcel

Daunis Joseph Marcel, 78, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Montegut, La., died Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at 3:00 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Rita Marcel; one son, Donald Joseph Marcel and his wife Wanda; two brothers, Frank Samanie and Gerald Billiot; one sister, Patricia Billiot; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Virtine Marcel; his stepfather, Frank Billiot, Sr.; and three sisters, Margie Marcel, Rose Mary Billiot, and Mary Ellen Babin.

Visitation is Sunday, August 12, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Montegut Fire Station and Monday, August 13, 2007, from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut. He will be buried in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to the family are preferred.
