David Joseph Breaux, 78, a native of Krotz Springs, La. and resident of Houma, La. died Monday, October 8, 2007, at 11:45 p.m.


He is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce Cannella Breaux; one son, David Breaux, Jr. and his wife Dianna; one daughter, Sandra Marie Sternitzke and her husband Mark; two sisters, Vivian Breaux and Mary Lou Williams; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Foston and Mary Devillier Breaux; and two brothers, Foston James Breaux, Jr. and Lloyd James Breaux.


David was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. He attended the United States Naval Academy at Treasure Island in San Francisco, Ca. He was an electronics technician and service manager.

Visitation is Thursday, October 11, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. He will be buried in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette, La.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
