David Franklin, 71, a resident of Verdunville, La., died at 12:23 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Almetra Franklin; daughters, Trina (Phillip) Dural, Davida Franklin and Tia (Eddie) Verrett Sr.; sisters, Shirley (Arthur) Wesley and Savannah (Jeffery) Hadrick; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Dora Franklin; brothers, Elliot, Arthur Jr. and Isaac Franklin; and sisters, Earline Williams, Lucille Mathais and Nettie Anderson.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at Golden Queen Cemetery in Centerville, La. (Jones)
