David Charles Gaudet, 57, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Destrehan, La., died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010.

Mr. Gaudet was an honor graduate of both E.D. White Catholic High School and Nicholls State University. He was a Hydrocarbon Yield Analyst with Shell Norco/Motiva, where he was employed for 31 years. Previously, he worked for the Lafourche Parish Assessor’s Office and Radio Station KTIB in Thibodaux. He enjoyed Louisiana festivals, music and traveling.


He is survived by his brother, Michael “Mickey” (Mary Katherine “Tatty”) Gaudet Sr.; sisters, Carolyn (Elmo) Bergeron and Alice (Robert “Bob”) Pagan; nephews, Michael Jr. (Tanya), Christopher (Jamie) and Jason Gaudet; niece, Ann Michele (James “Jim”) Logan; and great-niece, Elise Katherine Gaudet.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland “Red” Sr. and Marie Trosclair Gaudet; one brother, Roland W. Gaudet Jr.; and one great-niece, Amelia Ann Gaudet.

Private graveside services were held at St. John Catholic Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
