David John LeCompte, 79, a native of Bourg, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 12 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Mr. LeCompte was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church where he was a lector and parish volunteer. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a marine superintendent for 2R Drilling Company for 36 years.
He is survived by his wife, June LeCompte; son, Rev. Glenn LeCompte; daughters, Ann (Dr. Greg) Bizette and Susan (Jerry Jr.) Ledet; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Louise LeCompte; brothers, Alden Sr. and Roland Sr. LeCompte; and sisters, Mae Lirette, Yvonne LeCompte and Betty Ledet.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
