David P. Pontif, Sr.

David P. Pontif, Sr., 45, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Friday, September 5.

He is survived by his former wife, Chantell Price McCorkel; daughter, Christian Pontif; son, David Pontif, Jr.; step children, Chance Price McCorkel and wife Jamie, and Jaeckle McCorkel and Asheley Price McCorkel; brother, Robert Pontif, Jr.; sister, Margaret Pontif; step-grandchildren, Kaedin, Cameron and Austin McCorkel; godmother, Alice Guidry; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Pontif, Sr. and Jackelyn Pontif; and brother, Patrick Pontif.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, September 26, at Samart Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. He will be buried at Rogers Cemetery.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
