Debby Robichaux Verret, 64, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, March 14, at 4:50 a.m.


She is survived by her sons, Jody Dale Verret and wife, Missie, of Rockwall, Tx., and Eric John Verret and wife, Lee Anne, of Austin, Tx.; brothers, Michael Robichaux of Edmond, Ok. and Errol “Turk” Robichaux of Elk City, Ok.; sister, Norma Babin and husband, Edgar, of Houma; and grandchildren, Allyson and Rustin Verret.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas Verret; her parents, Eugene Robichaux and Adele Panvelle Robichaux; brothers, David Robichaux and Robert Robichaux; and her beloved friend, Stanley Clement.


She was a member of St. Bernadette Choir for 35 years, the Evangelization Committee at St. Bernadette, the Thibodaux Amateur Radio Club and YMCA water aerobics. She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 17, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
