Della Marie Fanguy Theriot, 97, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Mrs. Theriot was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and touched the lives of everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughters, Nita Hebert, Anna (Cecil) Duplantis and Mary (Glynn) Naquin; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elby Theriot; parents, Sylvester and Mary Fanguy; son, Carroll Theriot; brothers, Reginald, Celestin, Ardis, Jessie and Dudley Fanguy; sisters, Alberta Martin and Rita Authement; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
