Deloria “Delo” Himel Landry, 81, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Chackbay, La., died Saturday, May 31, 2014.
Mrs. Landry retired after 28 years of service with the Lafourche Parish School Board as a food service manager.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Nolan Landry; sons, Scurley (Lorraine) and Bradley Landry; daughter, Donna (Lalo) Gallegos; sister, Yvonne Guidry; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorgeville and Amelia Himel; brothers, Neville and Yves Himel; sisters, Enola and Aspazie Ordoyne, Annette Himel, Lovinia Guidroz and Anna Lee Hebert; and brother, Clarence Himel.
Burial is at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
