Mandated therapy may better serve divorcing couples, counselor says

Dennis A. Zeringue, 85, a resident and native of Raceland, LA., died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, January, 2, 2007.


Visitation will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m., in which mass will take place, Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Michael J. Zeringue; 3 daughters, Patricia Rivero, Rhea Abadie, and Lori Lucas; 7 sisters, Gladys Bilello, Louise Stevens, Jeanne Luquette, Earline Pitre, Rita Pertuit, Laura Dominique, and Clara “Baby” Matherne; 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Guidry Zeringue; his parents, Raoul and Lucia Hebert Zeringue, and 5 brothers, Clifton, Camille, Thompson, Blaise, and Malcolm Zeringue.

He was a parishoner of St. Mary Catholic Church.

He was a retired sugar farmer and avidly enjoyed fishing, trawling, and gardening.

Falgout Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
