June 20, 2011Derel Baker Charles Duplantis, 45, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Wednesday, June 15, 2011.
Mr. Duplantis was a member/parishioner of St. Luke Baptist Church. He was the owner of Duplantis Roofing and a member of the Krewe of Hercules.
He is survived by his wife, Tikesha Duplantis; daughters, Danielle Morris and Sydney and Shaylyn Duplantis; step-children, Courtney, Christy and Keshawn Johnson; parents, Camille and Emma Duplantis III; brothers, Brenden (Terri) and Joel (Lisa) Duplantis; sister, Michelle (John) Collins; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Duplantis
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at St. Luke Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #1. (Chauvin)
