Derrick Woods, 38, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, May 22, at 11:11 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Germaine Torregano Woods; mother, Rosemary Nixon; sons, Darrion Torregano, Zion Evan, Derrick and Trinity Mosely and Miguel Torregano; daughters, Derrieka Torregana, Bianca Martin, Jasmin and Tracy Calloway, D’Wanda and Samantha Torregano; brothers, Willard, Ernest and Dwight Woods; sister, Consuello Dayean; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Thomas, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Willard Thomas, Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Vivian Woods and Ernest Woods.
He was a member of New Vision Family Worship Center. He was a galley hand and he enjoyed fishing.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 30, Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, at the funeral home. He will be buried at Halfway Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
