Diettra Vance Aucoin, 66, a native of Jennings, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011.
Mrs. Aucoin enjoyed spending time with her family who she deeply loved. She was known for her cooking, especially her delicious chili. She was an avid Saints fan and an amazing wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry Aucoin; five children, Renee Scully, Annette, Larry and Dean Aucoin and Karen (Carl) Thibodeaux; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Rosemary Vance; children, Larry Jr., Lenes and David Aucoin; and brother, Joemac Macfarlen. (Hargrave)
