Dion N. Rel, 16, a native and resident of Dularge, La., died Saturday, September 13.
He is survived by his parents, Lorenzo and Caroline Billiot Rel; four brothers, Mickey Rel, Rocky Rel and wife Winter, Jeremy Rel and wife Pamela, and Rene Rel; three sisters, Ruby Sanchez and husband William, Roxanne Sanchez and husband Clifton Jr., and Shantel Pitre and husband Kris; his grandfather, Lorenzo Rel Jr.; seven nephews and seven nieces.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lillian Billiot and Sylvest Billiot; his grandmother, Esperanza Rel; his aunt, Esperanza Rel Bourg; his cousin, Dallas Bourg; and uncle, Terry Billiot.
A memorial fund has been set up at Capital One Bank in Dion Rel’s name.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 21, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, September 22, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., with a religious service to follow Monday. He will be buried at St. Eloi Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangement.
