Dolive Pitre Bergeron, 86, was a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, July 18, 2011.


Mrs. Bergeron’s greatest love was family and she will be missed by all who knew her. She truly enjoyed Mardi Gras, dancing and crocheting. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.


She is survived by her daughters; Betty Bergeron and Melanie (Terry) Pierce; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Bergeron; parents, Ashful and Inez Pitre; brother, Herbert Pitre; and sister, Barbara Bonvillain.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Terrebonne Memorial Park. (Chauvin)
