Don Leon Gary, 67, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
Mr. Gary taught geography at Nicholls State University for more than 30 years. He enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Thibodaux Lion’s Club, Jaycees and the Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his daughters, Denise Doyle and Donna and Risa Garner; brother, Leon Gary Jr.; and sister, Lolita “Girlie” Gary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Lolita Theriot Gary Sr.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the local humane society, “Hope for Animals,” are preferred.
