Donald Peter “Panky” Adam, 75, a native of Grand Isle, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, August 9, 2007, at 3:00 p.m.


He is survived by his son, Jody Joseph Adam and his wife Dot; two daughters, June Bass and her husband Robert and Karen Adam; two nieces, Jennifer Champagne and Patricia Melancon; and five grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Althea Guidry Adam; one son, Keith Stephens Adams; one sister, Della Gaudet; and one brother-in-law, Charles Gaudet.

Donald was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Lady of the Isle Catholic Church. He was a member of American Legion Post 309 at Grand Isle. He was a LSU, Saints, and Tulane fan but his family would say he loved chocolate most of all.

He is buried in Our Lady of the Isle Cemetery on Grand Isle.

In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the American Parkinson’s’ Association.

Falgout Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
