Donald Joseph Harris Sr., 81, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Bridgette Harris; sons, Dr. Donald Jr., Del (Paulette) and David (Melanie) Harris and Paul (Dana) LeFort; daughters, Connie (Kurt) Perque, Ann Harris, Kitty (Todd) Whitney, Cathy (Terry) Gros, Laurie (Bart) Hohensee and Nicole (Mike) Bourgeois; brother, Bro. Delbert Harris; sisters, Joel Robichaux and Marie Schell; 24 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Harris; parents, Dr. William Sr. and Mercedes Harris; son, Douglas Harris; brothers, Dr. William Jr. and Dr. Friedrichs Harris; and sisters, Jane Barker, Sister Betty Harris, Mercedes Burton and Kitty Pearse.
Burial was at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
