Donald P. Orgeron Sr., 66, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Larose, La., died Wednesday, June 24, at 6:11 a.m.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Nicol Orgeron; sons, Donnie Orgeron and wife Celeste, and Kyle Orgeron; brothers, Daniel Orgeron and Edward Orgeron; sister, Annie Bouillion; and grandchildren, Amber, Christina, Mark and Zachary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Severin and Lea’ Ledet Orgeron; brothers, Robert Orgeron and James Orgeron Sr.; and sister, Bessie Fanguy Brunet.
He was Catholic. He loved Mardi Gras and was a member of the Krewe of Versailles Carnival Club.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, June 26, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Larose with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
